Two days, two new bikes for the Heywood Jablome Household.

Heywood’s new Cross bike. Actually, old steel frame that he took to Steve Rex in Sacramento to weld apparatus for cantilever brakes. All other parts new were found lying around the bike shop. Will ride for first time this weekend at Fred’s place in Long Island.

Wife’s new Cannondale Synapse Carbon 3. 18 lbs with pedals. Sweet rig for the lady.

Bicycle Need Equation:

Whatever you have + 1 = Need

(This is the kind of mathematical construct that makes sense to Moveitfred. He gets a headache trying to decipher all the complex shit going on over at G's site)

ps-
So fahkin pro with the two different tyres. 'Splain that one to Moveitfred. Use phrases like "weight transfer" and "modulating contact points."

Fred: How come you can't just post one fucking comment?

Wood: Nice Cannondale!!! Are they still using Optima!!!! But seriously, I dig the SS. Did you have it repainted?

Tab doesn't work in comments section. Think of them as paragraphs.

Al,
Her bike is full ultegra with some sweet mavic wheels. First time I have ever been on a carbon bike. Very nice ride. For the SS, I had it bead blasted and powdercoated last week. I was trying to go for the oreo cookie look.

Fred: Return works, you dick. Think of it as spacing down. Stop spamming up the works.

Heywood: What'd that cost--the paint. I've a steel frame I'm thinking of making a fixie / SS. Do you have flip flop hub on that bad boy? Did you change cranks etc. Gimme the specs, Holmes.

Al, it was $100 buck for a bead blast and powder coating. I do not have a flipflop hub yet. Those are just my wheels off of my road bike with lots of spacers thrown in to make it a SS. Got a Tuvativ 32 teeth crank, running 16 cog in the rear. For the race, ultegra hubs with open pro hoops. FSA stem and bars. Cane Creek levers, Aheadset headset, ritchy seatpost and wtb saddle. Also, avid brakes.

Hey, Moveitfred is here too.

(space)

Wants to learn more about the tyres.

(space)

Sure, the bike's in front of Moveitfred right now, but he needs it in writing.

Al, Wood landed at LGA and we were both sad to see Shea so quiet.

(space)

Really.

However the cranes building the new stadium were making some noise.

Fred:

I'm surprised you were able to find LGA and Shea. Was the Mrs. driving? I know you have real trouble leaving your immediate environs.

Mrs. Jablome kicked my ass up Indian Hill Sunday. I'm not so fond of that fancy shcmancy new ride.

hey - where's the picture of the nice body work you did to MRs. J's old ride? I've been waiting for that picture. And maybe one of the redesigned rain gutters above the garage...
